Our mission

Data4Covid19 is a non-profit project created with the aim of making people aware of the spread of the
SARS-CoV-2 virus within many countries through the use of data.

The project, carried out and maintained by volunteers with mathematical, engineering and computer science backgrounds, uses data from public sources to give any citizen an objective and comprehensible view of the current issue. The only way we have to help doctors and nurses, who daily fight this battle in hospitals, is to make people aware of the measures taken by the various governments, in order to reduce contagions and consequently the pressure on the health system. On the site you can find many dashboards updated daily with data on the spread of the virus by canton or region, the probability of encountering the virus on leaving home, the trend in the number of deaths and some mathematical models that estimate the evolution of the virus.
